Solution Sales Engineer
The Solution Sales Engineer is responsible for engaging with the sales team to understand customers business and technical requirements and then developing a solution to meet those needs. Technical expertise, professional demeanor, and knowledge of selling methodology are required. Understanding of virtualization, storage, security and converged infrastructure will be the primary technical areas of focus. Experience requirements include technical knowledge of virtualization, storage, security and networking solutions. Ability to understand the customer’s business problem or opportunity and to design a virtualized solution that completely and correctly addresses the need. Possess strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas and be assertive. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present to C-Level customers. Excellent writing skills and ability to create and conduct formal presentations. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable. 3-5 years technical pre-sales experience with VMware and Microsoft virtualization solutions. 2+ years of sales, account management, business development sales experience in high-tech industry. Vendor Specialist
Responsible for facilitating additional sales of assigned vendor products and programs to new and existing Softmart customers through sales activities, sales support, and the implementation of marketing programs. Will act as a support resource for the Vendor and Softmart sales force in an effort to increase efficiency and accuracy of sales efforts. Establish and maintain relationships with Softmart Strategic Account Managers and Publisher Field Sales reps to identify and assist in closing of mutual sales opportunities. Develop, organize and conduct product and positioning training to Softmart employees and Publisher employees. Provide outbound call services on behalf of publisher, as follow up to direct mail campaigns, seminars, internal/external databases, product target markets. Maintain pipeline and other weekly reports and all documentation to support business opportunities and new sales. Attend product training, seminars or trade shows when necessary. Two to three years of sales and/or marketing experience. Strong communication, organizational and problem solving skills. Ability to handle diverse duties in a fast paced environment. GM of Partner Development, South East Region
GM of Partner Development, South East Central Region Manager will be responsible for developing and managing Softmart’s Service Provider partnerships throughout the North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida territory. Identify service partners in each designated region that would be a suitable partner for Softmart. Work with larger Softmart vendors for assistance in the identifying process. Meet with potential partners to determine those service providers that will best complement Softmart’s core competencies. Growing and tracking partner business including software/hardware leads into Softmart and services leads from Softmart out to the partner community. Reviewing on a monthly/quarterly basis, partner influenced business through our scorecard and reporting. Develop teaming agreements for every partner. Work with Softmart legal to structure agreements based on relationship needs. Manage process in order to obtain signatures for agreements. Communicate all new partnerships to Softmart employees via intranet, training's, emails, etc. Implement any marketing programs with Softmart marketing or partner’s marketing that will help generate qualified leads. Provide all partners with Softmart information for their web sites and insure information is being posted according to our expectations. BA/BS degree required or strong equivalent work experience in a related field or industry. Minimum of 2-3 years sales experience required. Experience in managing customer/partnership relations preferred. Experience in delivering presentations to small and large groups. Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and problem solving skills required. Ability to handle diverse duties in a fast paced environment. Competitive salary and benefits plus bonus. Position is remote within assigned territory.

Software Asset Management Sales Engineer
The Software Asset Management Sales Engineer (SAM SE) will serve as the primary technical point of contact for all SAM engagements. This individual will deploy, troubleshoot, extract and leverage inventory data from Softmart’s SAM solutions – Asset Vision and Survey. He/She must understand the fundamental aspects of SAM tools on the market – i.e. SCCM, Altiris, Flexera, FrontRange…etc. The SAM SE must have the ability to interpret inventory data in an effort to identify effective license positions for Softmart clients. Requirements include technical knowledge of SAM solutions. Knowledge of virtualization, storage, security and networking solutions is a plus.
