Integration Services - Custom Hardware Configuration
Softmart will configure all hardware so that your organization can immediately implement purchases into your environment.
From basic desktops to complex multi-server rack systems, we can efficiently preload and configure one or hundreds of systems with the software applications you need. We configure desktops, workstations, servers, printers, storage solutions, network solutions, document imaging solutions, multimedia solutions, etc.
If you need technical advice before ordering, your sales team can refer you to a Systems Engineer who will help you design the exact system you need. In all cases, the custom configuration you choose will be reviewed by specialized technical support experts and assembled by first-rate integration technicians.
Integration Centers
The integration centers are located within world-class logistics centers in Swedesboro NJ, Freemont CA, and Millington TN. This strategic placement allows for immediate parts availability and dramatically reduced order cycle times.
The facilities are ISO certified, utilizing the best integration and quality assurance practices in the industry. Each center has a capacity of 29,000 configured systems per month with 100-percent on-the-bench inspection, four-percent out-of-box audit and 100-percent customer resolution. The world-class quality assurance and control system has enabled error-free production yields of greater than 99.5 percent.
The Integration Process
Each order goes through the same process -- from technical review to product integration and quality assurance inspection.
- Orders are sent electronically to the Integration Services' Engineering Department for technical review.
- Orders that fail technical review are put on technical hold to be resolved by technical specialists.
- Orders that pass technical and credit review are released to the integration center and scheduled for build.
- Component serial numbers are captured.
- Order hardware integration, software installation and compatibility testing is performed. No system moves to Quality Assurance until it passes testing.
- At the Quality Assurance (QA) station, systems are inspected for cosmetic blemishes and put through a battery of testing modules to ensure system performance. And at least one in five systems is pulled off the line as per ANSI/ASQC Z1.4 quality standards.
- Tested and inspected systems are moved to the shipping area where they are returned to their original boxes and an address label is applied.
- Order is picked up by the carrier of your choice and delivered to the address on the label.
